Apples of Gold
Apples of Gold is for all younger women of our church. The primary purpose is for older women to nurture and mentor younger women in the Word of God, the Bible, and to encourage them to obey the Word of God. We meet for six weeks. Each week we have a time of practical skills in cooking and homemaking, a lesson taught by one of the mentors and sharing a meal together.
The name Apples of Gold comes from the Bible verse found in Proverbs 25: 11 - "A word aptly spoken is like apples of gold in a setting of silver."
The Apples of Gold program is based on the principles taught in Titus 2:3-5.
Our lessons teach six ways to enhance our spiritual and personal lives, the lives of our family and the lives of those around us. The lessons are: Kindness, Loving Your Husband, Loving Your Children, Submission, Purity, and Hospitality. All of our meetings are in a home. The size of each class is 6 to 10 young women and 6 mentors.
“Do your best to present yourselves to God as one approved, a workman who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the Word of truth.” ~ 11 Timothy 2:15

MOPS provides a morning out for moms (childcare provided!) that includes time to visit with other moms, a time of teaching on topics relevant to mothers in this stage of life, discussion time and a chance to finish a creative activity without extra “helping” hands.
