I joined the E Free church staff as a counselor in September of 1997.  I had just completed a Master's degree in Counseling Psychology at Bethel and was thrilled to have the opportunity to put that training  to work in a faith-based setting.  My earlier educational background included a Bachelor's degree from Saint Olaf College and a Master's Degree in Social Work from the University of Minnesota.  I am licensed in the state of Minnesota as an Independent Clinical Social Worker.

Our family has a long history here at the Free Church.  In the summer of 1976,  Burnie, two-year-old Jonathan, and I moved to Willmar, where we quickly became involved at the young, smal church which was using the Chapel as its sanctuary.  Through the years we have seen the church blessed by increased numbers and expanded facilities.  AWANA, teaching Sunday School, serving on the Church Elder Board,  helping with women's ministries have been meaningful involvements for us.

Our family now includes four grown children, two daughters-in-law, and soon four grandchildren.

Our oldest son has moved back to Willmar, and it is a joy to have his family living close by and attending this church.

I appreciate being part of a team whose focus is glorifying God.  In addition to individual counseling, I enjoy working on team projects that work toward increasing the health and the growth of this body of believers.
